Accounting (A.A.S.)

You will have a knowledge base that will help you perform various accounting functions for private, public and government sectors. Within those sectors, you will have an understanding of what it means to be a sole proprietorship, a partnership, or a corporation.
Computer skills are a major component of this degree. The field of accounting has many computer efficient functions such as generating payroll and generating state and federal payroll tax forms and returns. This degree will also give you the skills to prepare basic income tax returns for individuals and businesses using commercial tax preparation software.
