GFC MSU, Chamber host ‘Building a Culture of Legendary Customer Service’ training
Great Falls College MSU and the Great Falls Area Chamber of Commerce are co-hosting a workshop focusing on “Building a Culture of Legendary Customer Service.”
The customer service training will be held Thursday, April 28 from 7:30-9:30 a.m. in Heritage Hall at Great Falls College MSU, 2100 16th Ave. S. The workshop aims to teach both employees and business owners about the importance of customer service. Registration is $30 for Chamber members and $35 for non-members.
“Legendary Customer Service is the foundation to any business or organization and will drive other factors that contribute to the overall success,” said Shane Etzwiler, who will be teaching the course.
Etzwiler is currently the manager of Holiday Village Mall and has more than 25 years of experience managing retail stores. He has worked with retailers such as Herberger’s, Cabela’s and Hobby Lobby. While managing the Cabela’s store in Rogers, Minnesota, his store received an award for best Sporting Goods Retailer in the Twin Cities selected by consumers via the Minneapolis/St. Paul Star Tribune. He consistently ranked as the top manager within the Cabela’s organization.
The workshop will focus on first impressions, last impressions and everything in between. Employers will learn how to establish their definition of customer service and how to actively engage employees in customer service. Business owners will leave the workshop with the knowledge needed to establish a customer service program to implement at their businesses.
“Employers will benefit from this as much as employees,” said Heather Palermo, director of Lifelong Learning at Great Falls College MSU. “Customer service is everyone’s responsibility.”
