GREAT FALLS – The Testing Center at Great Falls College MSU is now offering two additional tests – the PAN and GRE.
The PAN, or Performance Assessment Network, test is required for many jobs with the Transportation Security Administration, and Customs and Border Protection.
“Being able to administer PAN tests opens a door for retiring or separating military members, as many go on to work for these agencies,” said Jill Safken-Duffney, Testing Service Coordinator at Great Falls College MSU. “Previously they had to travel two to three hours to Belgrade or Missoula to take this test.”
The GRE, or Graduate Record Examination, is required for entrance into many graduate degree programs. That test is offered one day per month at Great Falls College MSU. The Testing Center hopes to work with Education Testing Services, the organization that administers the GRE, to expand its GRE offerings.
“Having the GRE here has been very popular,” Safken-Duffney said. “We’ve been at capacity every time we have offered the GRE.”
Previously, the closest facility that offered the GRE was in Helena.
The Testing Center at Great Falls College MSU provides a variety of exam proctoring for Great Falls College MSU courses and programs. The center also provides a wide range of professional exams.
The Testing Center recently expanded to be able to serve more test takers at a time and to offer more distraction-free rooms for testing.
The Testing Center will hold an open house to show off its expanded facilities on Sept. 19 from 1:30-2:30 p.m. at Great Falls College MSU, 2100 16th Ave. S.
