GREAT FALLS– Great Falls College MSU will host an evening of information for parents and their high school aged students who are considering or currently participating in Dual Enrollment courses.
The event will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 27, from 6-8 p.m. in Heritage Hall at Great Falls College MSU, which is located at 2100 16th Ave South in Great Falls.
The event is geared towards students in their sophomore to senior years of high school and will focus on what Dual Enrollment is and its benefits. Students and their families will get to choose from a variety of informational sessions tailored to help students make the most out of their educational opportunities.
Sessions will include:
Students will also have the opportunity to meet with a college advisor to create an educational plan to get them jump started on their college career.
The evening will culminate with both a parent and student panel. Attendees will get the chance to ask participants currently or formerly involved in the Dual Enrollment processes about their experiences.
“Dual Enrollment is a very big concept that can seem difficult to navigate,” said Laramie Smovir, Enrollment Specialist at the college. “This event will give both parents and students the opportunity to see how easy and incredibly beneficial Dual Enrollment can be.”
For years, Great Falls College MSU has been a leader in Dual Enrollment, helping students to begin earning college credit in high school, which saves them time and money on their path to degree completion.
