GREAT FALLS— The Center for Lifelong Learning is offering scholarships for STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) camps this summer. These scholarships aim to help families with the cost of enrolling a child in camps to encourage learning throughout the summer.
The Baker Foundation generously donated to the Center for Lifelong Learning allowing the center to award 25 $100 scholarships for STEM camps. The scholarships will be awarded based on need and an interest in STEM programs. One scholarship will be awarded per child per household.
“We encourage kids to continue learning during the summer to improve their cognitive and social skills and have fun while doing it,” said Heather Palermo, Director of the Center for Lifelong Learning. “Our STEM camps allow kids the opportunity to learn in an environment that is relevant to their interests so that it sparks that love of learning.”
Summer camps being offered include Battle Royale®: Make your First Fortnite® Style Video, Virtual Reality: The Future is Now, Fun with Forensics, Code Your own Adventure, Minecraft Modders, ROBLOX Makers and more.
The deadline to apply for the scholarship is May 10. Decisions will be made by May 17 and recipients will be notified no later than May 21. A legal guardian must fill out the application.
