Renewing Library Materials

To renew materials checked out from the library, you can visit the library front desk and request a renewal from a staff member. The staff member will pull up your account, process the renewal, and inform you of the new due date. Please request renewals before the original item due date.  

Most items are eligible for renewal at any time. Items may not be renewed under the following circumstances:  

  • There is a waiting list for the item, or another patron has requested use of the item 
  • The borrower is no longer a current student  
  • The item (laptop, hotspot) needs required updates or repairs 
  • The item policy prohibits renewals (anatomical models)  
  • The item is owned by another library – interlibrary loan items 

Most items can be renewed by email or phone. Laptops are the only item that must be renewed in person. To renew an item, please contact the library and provide your name, student or NetID number, and the name of the item you wish to renew. The library staff member will pull up your account, process the renewal, and inform you of the new due date. Please request renewals before the original item due date.
