Transfer to University of Providence in Bachelor of Arts in Psychology

Students completing the Associate of Arts degree with articulated coursework in Psychology at Great Falls College have the opportunity to complete a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at University of Providence. 

Under existing BA/BS Block Transfer agreements, students entering with an AA or AS from Great Falls College would be waived of most core requirements, except for courses noted below.

University of Providence requires:

  • A minimum of 40% or 15 credits of the major (whiever is greater) must be earned in residency at UP.
  • Thirty (30) of the final forty (40) credits earned for a bachelor’s degree must be completed in residency at UP.
  • Completion of a pre-existing Associates Degree, all courses within the Bachelor’s core are waived except the following:
  • PHL 301 Ethics*, TRL 301 The Christian Life*, ILC 330 What is Truth OR ILC 350 What is the Common Good, ENG 300-319 Upper Division Writing (may be embedded in major requirements)
  • A cumulative grade point average (GPA) of at least 2.00 for courses taken while enrolled at UP 
  • Successful completion of UP graduation requirements for the Bachelor of Arts degree.

The following limitations also apply:

  • Developmental courses are not counted in transfer to UP.
