Borrowing Books from Weaver Library
Community patrons are able to borrow books from Weaver Library with a valid community borrower library card. Community patrons may borrow up to 5 books at a time with their borrower card.
Loanable Technology items and models or learning kits are not available to community borrowers.
Community Borrower Card
- A community borrower card is required to check out books from Weaver Library.
- To apply for a community borrower card, community patrons must present the following in person to a library staff member:
- Valid photo identification (unexpired license, state ID, passport)
- proof of Montana residency (utility bill, cell phone bill, renter’s agreement, fishing or hunting license)
- Applications for a community borrower card must be fully completed, or they will not be accepted.
- Community borrower cards are issued for a period of one year but may be renewed. To renew, you must present your photo identification and proof of residency again.
- Lost cards should be promptly reported to the library.
- A borrower is responsible for all items checked out on their card and will be billed for lost or damaged items.
- Community borrower cards are not required for public computer use.
- Applicants must be 16 or older. A guardian is required to sign an application for an applicant under the age of 18.
