Great Falls—On Saturday, May 5, Great Falls College MSU will hold its commencement ceremony for 323 students who have earned their associate degree or certificate.
Commencement will take place at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 5, in the McLaughlin Center at the University of Providence, which is located one block north of Great Falls College MSU at 1301 20th Street S. Commencement is open to the public and seating will begin at 3:00 p.m.
District Court Judge Greg Pinski will deliver the commencement address. Immediately following commencement, Great Falls College MSU will host a reception for graduates and their families in Heritage Hall.
This year’s 323 graduates have impressively earned 383 certificates and degrees. Fifty-five students are receiving multiple degrees, 51 are graduating with honors and 76 are graduating with high honors. Great Falls College MSU will also award 54 veterans, their spouses and their dependents with 62 degrees and certificates. In addition, 13 dual enrollment students will graduate from Great Falls College prior to earning their high school diploma.
“Graduation is the best time of year,” said Dr. Susan Wolff, CEO and Dean at Great Falls College MSU. “Our students inspire us all and commencement is a wonderful day where we get to celebrate their accomplishments. Many of our students overcome great hardships in order to walk across the stage at graduation. Many raise families while going to school, work other jobs or serve in the military. This is a truly amazing group of individuals who are celebrating a life-changing achievement.”
The average age of this year’s graduating class is 29. These students will graduate with degrees and certificates in health sciences, trades, technology and accounting that have prepared them for the workforce or to transfer to a four-year institution to continue their education.
