CENTENE CORPORATION GIVES TO ENSURE VETERANS SUCCEED AT GREAT FALLS COLLEGE MSU
Great Falls, MT—Centene Corporation has committed to helping student veterans at Great Falls College MSU succeed by gifting $80,000 to support the Veteran Success Center at Great Falls College MSU.
“Centene is proud and honored to partner with Great Falls College MSU by providing financial support for the Veteran’s Success Center, stated Sharon Souther-Boutilier, Director of Human Resources with Centene Corporation. We currently have in our employment many men and women veterans, and are proud to have them as part of our Centene family. We believe the Veterans Success Center offers a variety of services that are most useful to those returning from military service and entering and/or re-entering the civilian workforce. The services offered by the center are very critical in getting many of our veterans the assistance they need to be successful students and individuals in our community. Centene thanks our men and women in uniform for the sacrifices and services given to our country and could not be more pleased to provide a donation of $80,000 so they can receive the services offered by the Veterans Success Center at Great Falls College”, says Souther-Boutilier.
The Veteran Success Center at Great Falls College MSU provides support to the student veteran population on campus. The center connects students to tutors, offers a quiet space to study, access to computers as well as provides a place for veterans to gather together. Statistics show veterans who utilize the Veteran Success Center are more likely to stay in school and complete. These same veterans are also maintaining an average grade point average of 3.3.
“Great Falls College is proud of its work to welcome and support Veterans returning to college through its Veteran’s Success Center. Our Veterans have demonstrated achievement in their efforts to remain in college and in their academic performance. Unfortunately, the funding for the Center was slated to expire this year. In keeping with their philanthropic mission of helping families in need, Centene Corporation’s generous gift will allow the college to continue to be a beacon of hope for our returning Veterans and their families” says Dr. Susan Wolff, CEO/ Dean at Great Falls College MSU.
The college continually seeks new opportunities of support. Whether investing in programs, or scholarships; gifts like Centene’s will help students at Great Falls College MSU pursue and achieve their goals for years to come.
