Great Falls College MSU will host the Ergon Art Exhibit, which features the artwork of kindergarten through 12th graders, Nov. 2 through Nov. 30.
On Friday, Nov. 4 from 4:30 to 6 p.m., GFC MSU will host an artists’ reception to honor the artists featured in the Ergon Art Exhibit.
The reception, which is part of the First Friday Art Walk, will be held in Heritage Hall and in the Administrative Suite at Great Falls College MSU, 2100 16th Ave. S. Artwork will be displayed throughout the campus.
“This exhibit provides budding artists an opportunity to have their work displayed in a public venue,” said Cynthia Stevens, Department Chair of Fine Arts and Humanities at GFC MSU. “We’re excited to partner with Great Falls Public Schools to make this exhibit possible.”
Artwork included in the Ergon Exhibit is selected by the 13 art instructors in the Great Falls Public School District.
“It is a very big honor to be chosen for this show,” said Dusty Molyneaux, supervisor of music and art education for GFPS. “For a kid’s work to stand out in the fall and be chosen for this, it really has to be high quality.”
In addition to the work by kindergarten through 12th grade students, there will also be artwork from the students at Bright Beginnings Learning Center. Their work will be on display in the Administrative Suite.
Artists, parents, teachers and community members are all invited to tour the displays and enjoy some cookies and punch at the reception on Friday, Nov. 4 to celebrate the talent in our community.
