GREAT FALLS – The Native American Student Group at Great Falls College MSU has several activities planned to celebrate Native American Heritage Month in November.
“The goal of our Native American Month celebration is to elevate the importance of cultural understanding and to help all of our students be aware of other cultures,” said Sandra Bauman, Director of Academic Success.
The schedule of events for Native American Heritage Month at Great Falls College MSU, 2100 16th Ave. S., includes:
Saturday, Oct. 29, noon to 5 p.m. – A showing of two Native American movies: “Dream Keeper” and “Winter in the Blood” in Heritage Hall
Wednesday, Nov. 9, noon to 5 p.m. – Two Native American movies: “Smoke Signals” and “Skins” will be shown in Heritage Hall.
Thursday, Nov. 10 – all events in Heritage Hall
Wednesday, Nov. 16, 5-8 p.m. – A showing of the Native American film “Dance Me Outside” in Heritage Hall.
All Native American Heritage Month events are free and open to the public.
