GREAT FALLS COLLEGE MSU CELEBRATES WEEK OF THE YOUNG CHILD
GREAT FALLS – April 11-15 is the Week of the Young Child, and Great Falls College MSU is celebrating in partnership with the Bright Beginnings Learning Center, located behind GFC MSU.
The Week of the Young Child is an annual celebration sponsored by the National Association for the Education of Young Children, celebrating early learning, young children, their teachers and families. To recognize the event, Great Falls College MSU will host an art display April 11-15, featuring the artwork of the young students at Bright Beginnings Learning Center.
A reception for the art display will be held Wednesday, April 13 from 10-11 a.m. in the atrium at Great Falls College MSU, 2100 16th Ave. S. Some of the young artists will be present, and the reception will include juice boxes, gold fish crackers and child-friendly activities.
“The Week of the Young Child is about sharing the talents of young children with the community and promoting early childhood education,” said Candice English, director of the Bright Beginnings Learning Center.
The artwork will be on display at Great Falls College MSU the entire week.
Bright Beginnings Learning Center will also be hosting an open house that week. The open house runs April 10-15 from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. everyday. The public is welcome to stop by and see the center’s classrooms, meet the educators and learn about what makes Bright Beginning Learning Center unique. The center is located at 1900 23rd St. S., just south of Great Falls College MSU.
Bright Beginnings aims to provide a high-quality child care environment for students attending Great Falls College MSU and the Great Falls community. The center serves families of children ages 0-5 years on a full-time and part-time basis.
