GREAT FALLS COLLEGE MSU HOSTS SUICIDE PREVENTION DAY
GREAT FALLS, Mont. – Great Falls College MSU will host an event Wednesday, October 21 to raise awareness about the risk factors for suicide and to educate people on how best to help others who are at risk.
Students, faculty, staff and community members are invited to attend Suicide Prevention Day at Heritage Hall on GFC MSU’s campus.
Community organizations including Voices of Hope, Great Falls Veterans Center, LGBTQ Center, Gateway Addiction Services, Aware and Center for Mental Health will have displays set up in Heritage Hall from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Karl Rosston, the Suicide Prevention Coordinator for the Department of Public Health and Human Services for the state of Montana, will give a presentation from noon to 1 p.m. focusing on how to help others who are at risk of suicide.
GFC MSU psychology students researched suicide prevention and helped organize the event. Everyone is welcome to attend.
