GREAT FALLS– This Sunday, December 2, at 3 p.m., the Great Falls College Community Choir will join the Great Falls Symphony in their presentation of Voices of Christmas.

Together, the Symphony Orchestra, Symphonic Choir and the Great Falls College Community Choir will bring over 200 musicians to the Mansfield Center’s stage.

The Great Falls College Community Choir, with the Great Falls Symphonic Choir and Orchestra, will perform Antonio Vivaldi’s Gloria and Michael Head’s A Little Road to Bethlehem. The combined groups will also present a medley of Christmas Carols.

The concert will be the first time the Great Falls College Community Choir will perform on the stage at the Mansfield Center.

“This is a great opportunity and an honor for the College Community Choir to sing at the Mansfield Center, which is the primary venue for our hometown,” said Cynthia Stevens, Great Falls College Community Choir director.

The performance at the Mansfield adds to the notable venues in which the Great Falls College Community Choir has performed. Included in that list are Carnegie Hall in New York City and the Basilica Di Santa Croce in Florence, Italy.

In addition to conducting the combined choirs for one piece, Cynthia Stevens will be featured as one of three female soloists during the performance of Gloria.

When asked how the Great Falls College Community Choir became involved with the Great Falls Symphony performance, Stevens stated “when the Symphonic Association was planning their 60th Anniversary season, they asked if the Great Falls College Community Choir would want to participate. Of course we said yes, absolutely.”

Tickets to the performance may be purchased through the Mansfield Box Office by calling (406)455-8514 or by visiting ticketing.greatfallsmt.net.
