VETERANS HONORED AT GREAT FALLS COLLEGE MSU
GREAT FALLS, MT—Great Falls College MSU honors and recognizes Veterans Day with a week full of recognition. Great Falls College MSU is located at 2100 16th Avenue South, in Great Falls.
Beginning Monday, November 9, Great Falls College MSU will hang a banner in Freedom Hall to recognize and honor those who have served our country. Students, faculty and staff are encouraged to take part in and recognize veterans, whether it is themselves, a grandparent, spouse, parent, sibling or a friend by bringing in photos and hanging them on the “Tribute” banner which will be hung in Freedom Hall.
In addition to the “Tribute” banner, Mr. Roy Harrington from the Great Falls Veteran Center will be on campus Thursday morning, November 12, at 8 a.m. to give a presentation on veteran readjustment issues. Mr. Harrington specializes in veteran readjustment counseling, and holds a Bachelor’s of Science degree from Montana State University in sociology, with an emphasis in criminal justice, as well as a Master’s degree in social work from Highlands University in New Mexico. Mr. Harrington has also served honorably in the U.S. Marine Corps, and was involved in liberating Kuwait.
Following Mr. Harrington’s presentation, Dr. Susan J. Wolff, CEO/ Dean at Great Falls College MSU will be having breakfast with many of the college’s student veterans. “Many veterans call Great Falls College home. We are exceptionally proud to have them here and help them on their journey. This is our chance to say thank you.” says Dr. Susan J. Wolff.
